MILKA LENIC

January 2, 1926 – September 28, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Milka Lenic, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Regina, at the age of 91 years. Milka was predeceased by her husband Ivan; mother Jeka; daughter Mary; and grandson Kelly. She is survived by her children, Joe (Shirley), Amy (Don), Helen (Gerry), and Jean; grandchildren, Todd, Justin, Jason, Brett, Kristen, Aaron, and Jenelle; as well as many great-grandchildren. Milka was born in Budak, Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada in 1959 with her husband and two young children. Milka dedicated her life to being a devoted and caring wife and mother. She loved to bake and was famous for her apple strudel and vanilla cookies. Milka also loved to knit and crochet. She gave all her kids and grandkids knitted slippers and scarves. Milka worshiped her grandchildren and made each and everyone feel extra special when they came to visit her. Mom was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Mom, you will be forever missed. The family wish to extend their thanks to the staff of unit 4A and 4B at the Pasqua hospital. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
