CHRISTINA “CHRIS” FAIRBAIRN

Chris passed away peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband George; sister Theresa; parents, Stanley and Louise Osika. Chris is survived by her children, Gordon (Wendy), Deborah (James) King, and Ronald (Shelley); eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean Malm, Sally Jaworski, Rose Slywka, Ken Osika, Greg Osika, Vicky Osika, and Rita Osika; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was born on the family farm near Bankend, SK on July 28, 1933. Chris moved to Regina as a young adult where she met and married George in 1955. She took great pleasure in cooking and baking for her family. Chris also spent most of her summers in the garden and winters crocheting gifts for her loved ones. Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Please meet at cemetery gate. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chris may be made to a charity of choice.
