Gerry is deeply loved by the Grill, Sturgeon, Schaefer and Kutarna families.

Gerry is well-known for the beautiful flowers and delicious fruits and vegetables in his garden.  He is delightfully remembered by people all over the city for sharing plants.

Gerry taught for 25 years, mostly English, at Miller High School Regina. He sang in many choirs and barbershop choruses, especially the Volksliederchor Harmonie, Regina.

Gerry took the responsibility of being Cantor at the 9 a.m. Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral very seriously, and practised each Saturday night and Sunday morning for over 40 years.  He sang the Easter Exsultet for nearly all those years until he decided to train a younger person. Gerry attended Sunday Mass all of his life and prayed for his children each and every day. He led the rosary on road trips with Bernadette and enjoyed lively faith-filled conversations.

Gerry's community service was to do canvassing for many non-profit organizations.

Gerry deeply loved all of his children and grandchildren and had many good times with them.

Thank you to the Family Medicine Unit for their kind care for us over the years and most recently, thank you Dr. Andrea Vasquez.  Thank you to all our families and friends who are so supportive in this intense and difficult time.  Much love to you all!
