Wilhelmina "Minnie" Posehn

Obituary of Wilhelmina "Minnie" Posehn

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Minnie Posehn (nee Ermel) on January 22, 2018 at the age of 85. Minnie was born July 14, 1932 at Archerwill, SK to Louis and Caroline Ermel. The family later moved to Cupar, SK where Minnie grew up with her twelve siblings enjoying family, farm life and baseball. On June 26, 1957, Minnie married Wilfred Posehn and moved to Regina to begin their lives and where they took pride in raising their four daughters. Minnie was a strong role model; hard working, generous, kind and always taking care of family and friends; there was always room for one more. Minnie spent many hours baking for her family and professionally; it was a great passion of hers. She also liked to quilt, garden, cheer on the Roughriders and her favourite curling teams. Minnie was predeceased her husband Wilfred, her parents and sister Mary Schwartz and brothers Henry, John, William, Rudy, and Reinhold Ermel. Minnie is loved and cherished by her children Cheryl (Michel), Marilyn (Kirk), Leanne (Clem) and Wanda, her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of Minnie's life will take place Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa St., Regina. Memorial donations can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
