Obituary of Doug Stelter

DOUG STELTER February 24, 1954 – January 15, 2017 In the evening of Sunday, January 15, 2017 we said goodbye to an amazing man, Doug Stelter, or as he was known to most, “DIAMOND DOUG” THE MAGIC MAN – WITH THE MAGIC HANDS. Doug was a loving, thoughtful, and caring Husband, Father, and Opa to his grandkids. His humour and personality were one of a kind and those who knew him have enjoyed wonderful stories, smiles, and laughter. He always made everyone that came over feel like part of the family. There wasn’t anything Doug wouldn’t do for friends and those he loved. Doug will be forever remembered and in our hearts, by his High School Sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Annemie; son Dillan (Tammie) and their son Deakan; and daughter Destiny (Ryan) and their children, Blayne and Tobyn. He is also survived by his mother Grace; brothers, David (Della), Don (Pat), and Dan (Sonia); mother-in-law Cecilia Stenz; sister-in-law, Eddy (Brian); brother-in-law Hans; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, whose lives were enriched just by knowing him. He will be loved and missed forever. Doug was predeceased by his father Hugo; father-in-law John; sister-in-law Charlene; niece Veronica; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend their thanks to the many dedicated doctors, nurses, and aids who cared for Doug in his battle with cancer.
