Luba,James and Freddie,
I just heard about Jack' s passing. He was a wonderful and special person. Look at the sons he helped raise. I remember driving down the back alley and seeing him and freddie tinkering around with a car .He always had a funny story, a comment or a wave. We had quite the time at Katie's wedding . We sat at the same table and had a blast telling stories. Luba and I kind of ganged up on Jack but he laughed.
James I want you to know i am exspecially thinking of you. you are lot like your dad. you are kind caring and fun. when you are sad please think of all the good and fun things you did with your dad. memories oh so precious . also it's going to tough for mom for quite awhile . look after her and make sure she gets her quota of hugs . Freddie also thinking of you .
if anyone wants to meet for coffee or supper and chat about jack
just let me know . my treat . my number is in the book too if you just want to talk
again sorry to hear about Jack

To Aunt Luba & my cousins Freddy & James & the rest of the Hoeft family I pass along my sincere condolences at this trying time for you and your family. I have 1 special memory of Jack as your family did everything backwards like me. Had children & then decided to tie the knot. I remember all of us being in your house and I can not remember which little cousin (Freddy I think got into a glass of something that resembles water)decided to join the adult part of the party but being fairly new parents all is forgiven & forgotten sometimes & he seemed pretty normal the last time I saw him. LOL . Also a few years or so back I was stranded at the Regina bus terminal & the first person there was Jack. That is what I remember he loved life, making other people love life, and you could always count on the man even if it interrupted his schedule. I helped him that day move a truck tool box & even if the man was on his knees hard headed just started to describe Jack. We will all miss you. The world is a little bit emptier today.

My deepest condolences to Jacky's family. I was sad to hear of his passing. I have nothing but fond memories of him from my childhood. He watched us when my folks were away...always funny and kind. He was a great family friend to my late father Charles...for that, I'm eternally thankful. Blessings be with you all...prayers of peace and strength for you during this difficult time.
