Obituary of Jack Reed Hoeft

Jack passed away surrounded by family at 4:04 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the age of 64. He will be sorely missed by his wife Luba; son and daughter-in-law Freddie and Tamara; son James: sister Shirley Wozniak; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Rita; father Fritz; sister Joan; and brother Fred. Jack was born in Regina, SK on July 22, 1952. He attended Highland Park School and Imperial School and from there he started working at various establishments in Regina and Edmonton, including Shaw Pipe for over twenty years. Jack’s interests were tinkering with anything that had a motor in it and spending time with family and friends. His greatest strengths were to bring stability, joy and laughter to everyone that he crossed paths with. The family would like to send a special thanks to his family physician Dr. Ndeke and the nursing staff at the Regina General Hospital. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Unit 26- 1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9.
