Obituary of David John Corrigan

DAVID JOHN CORRIGAN

David John Corrigan was born in Nipawin Hospital on June 24, 1938. He passed away peacefully, with his daughters by his side, in Regina, SK on Monday, April 2, 2018. David is survived by his wife Carol and her family; his daughter Joan (Allan) Martel and their daughter Alicia (Chris) and their children, Macarthur, Kaysen, and Kylan; daughter Michelle (Brad) Rea and their children, Braden and Courtney (Dylan). He is also survived by his siblings, Loretta (Arvid) Ostlund, Roy (Charlotte) Corrigan, Dianne (Dennis) Holmen, and Charlotte (Bryne) Degerness; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Corrigan and Angeline (Brian) Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his wife Margaret; his parents, John and Laura; sister Margaret Sonmor; brother Glen Corrigan; son-in-law Allan Hubbard; brother-in-law Leif Sonmor; niece Christine; Margaret’s parents Mike and Stella Gudzak; and her sister Sonia Abar. David grew up on the family farm near Love, SK, where he met the love of his life, Margaret Gudzak. They married in 1961 and moved to Dinsmore, SK, where their daughters were born. David got his Carpentry Certificate and spent many years working in the concrete business in Biggar, SK and Rosetown, SK. He also worked for the Town of Rosetown running their equipment. David and Margaret retired to Harris, SK. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the family spent almost every week end camping, winter and summer. Dad loved spending time at their cabin at Turtle Lake, where he would host his brothers and sisters for family gatherings. A private family service will be held at a later date.
