Obituary of Evelyn Christine Lamb

EVELYN CHRISTINE LAMB (nee McLACHLAN) Evelyn passed away suddenly in her home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Lamb, parents Tom and Maisie McLachlan of Yorkton and brother-in-law Ken Volden. Evelyn leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life her stepchildren Mike Lamb, Bob (Karen) Lamb of Regina, Heather (Bede) Hunter of Vancouver; six grandchildren and one great- grandchild; sister Marlene Volden of Ladysmith; nephew Terry (Wendy) of Kelowna; niece Sandra Volden of Regina; great-niece Christine Volden of Ottawa as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Evelyn enjoyed her career in education as both a teacher and librarian in rural Saskatchewan, Regina, Brantford and Winnipeg. In her retirement she enjoyed crafting, crocheting, gardening, cards and reading. She was a devoted volunteer with the congregation of Broadway United Church. Funeral Service will be held at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, S4N 2W9, on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Interment of her ashes in the family plot in Yorkton will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a gesture of remembrance may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8 or to the Broadway United Church.
