Obituary of Patrick Harold Thorpe

PATRICK HAROLD THORPE Patrick passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the age of 88, in Lumsden, SK. He was born April 19, 1923 in Ladstock, SK. Patrick joined the Canadian Army in September of 1941 and served in England, Scotland and Italy. In England, he met and married his wife, Beatrice Amy? Hill who was a war-bride. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Amy; daughter Kathleen Wright; son Ron (Darlene); six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters Winnie, Ethel and Myrtle as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place in Lumsden Cemetery, Lumsden, SK on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
