Obituary of Robert Kenneth South

BOB SOUTH It is with profound sadness we tell of the passing of Bob South. He was born December 30, 1930 and passed away suddenly on April 20, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Nell; brothers Jack, Chuck, Walt, and Art; his sister Girlie. He is survived by his grandson Jeremy Cross (Regina), daughter Deborah (Regina), son Ryan (Calgary), his sister Joan Wagman (Regina), as well as nieces, nephews, and the many friends with whom he worked, golfed and curled. He owned a successful trucking business, farmed with his brothers, ending his career as a salesman with Goodall Rubber. He was the youngest of five brothers, he was the quiet one, their wing man. He was a member of the Royal Regina Golf Club for many years, most recently golfed with the Seniors at Flowing Springs. He was a great sportsman, a kind and thoughtful man. He always gave more than he expected to receive. The Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. For those so wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobs memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon SK S7K 2H8.
