Obituary of Muriel English

A life well-lived ended Thursday, January 13, 2011 when Muriel English left this world for the next. There to meet her at Heavens gate were her beloved Freddy, her parents William and Stella Cross, her four siblings, and a host of friends. Left to love and cherish her always are her daughter and son-in-law Anne and Allan Karasin; the joys of her life,? her grandchildren Kirk Karasin (Rochelle Pauls) and Megann Karasin (Jason Derry); and the new little joys,? Dashiell Karasin and Blake Derry; her multi-generational nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly, as well as many friends of all ages. Muriel was born and raised in Ogema, Saskatchewan then spent the rest of her life living and working in Regina. She lived for over 50 years on Whitmore Avenue before moving to Marian Chateau, and ended her days in Princess Villa just down the block on Whitmore. She had a quick mind, a kind heart, an easy way of making and keeping friends and a delightful sense of humour. We will always remember that wonderful big smile. Her home was a welcoming place and was always filled with friends and family. We can see her stillfinishing the crossword, playing another hand of bridge, baking up something yummy, peacefully knitting or tatting or reading a good book, dispensing loving hugs and encouragement, walking miles, tending the veggies and flowers in her garden, sharing a delightful story or helping someone in whatever way was needed. We will celebrate the life of this wonderful woman at a gathering of family and friends at on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Lakeview United Church in Regina.
