Obituary of Thomas Besplug

Thomas Douglas Clarke BesplugJuly 12, 1992 January 21, 201118 years 6 months 9 daysIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our son, brother, twin and friend Thomas Douglas Clarke Besplug. On the morning of Friday, January 21, 2011 a fatal accident claimed the life of our gentle giant. He is lovingly remembered by his father and mother Douglas and Maria, his sisters Anastazia and Mariah (Joshua), and step sister Yolanda, his twin brother Bartholomew and step brother Michael, his girlfriend Lauren, his grandparents, Bert and Cathy; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. Thomas had an innate passion for art, and enjoyed drawing and painting. In addition, music played a major role in his life. His strengths lied with singing, playing the guitar and the drums. He always strived for excellence, and accomplished with ease anything he put his mind to. In his short life, he travelled to New York to study various artists. After graduating from LeBoldus High School, he had planned to enrol at the University of Regina in the faculty of Engineering. Another passion of Thomas' was chess, and he diligently studied the strategies of Bobby Fischer. Though a quiet, gentle soul, he always knew the best way to make anyone laugh; whether that be through his quick wit, his infectious smile or his outrageous sense of humour. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Martin de Porres RC Church, 4720 Castle Road, Regina on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Koep presiding. So, cool your engine Thomas the Train, and rest in peace.
