Obituary of Alexander Campbell

February 5, 1917 January 29, 2011 Alex passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the age of 93 just one week shy of his 94th birthday. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eva. Alex leaves to cherish his memory; daughters Sandra (Norman) Worth of Raymore, and Ruth (Phil) Yeo of Regina; son Doug (Sheila) Campbell of Regina; nine loving grandchildren; and ten beautiful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Jeanie Johnston of Pangman; special sister-in-law Doreen Campbell, sister-in-law Ruth Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Alex was predeceased by his parents James and Priscilla Campbell; brothers Robert, Warren, James, John; and sisters Laura and Mary. He was always there when you needed him putting family first. He had a wonderful memory and was always sharing some quick witted little rhyme and some good natured teasing. Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church, 120 Broad Street, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Kenneth Robinson officiating. Private interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, veterans ward 3-6, and Regina General Hospital, renal unit for their kindness and compassionate care.
