Obituary of Charlotte Vanstone

Charlotte Vanstone passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the age of 63. Predeceased by her father Charles and brother Leonard; Charlotte is survived by her mother Mary; siblings David Vanstone, Lois (Robert) Letkeman, Ruth (Lorne) Naherney and Tim (Jewell) Vanstone; nieces and nephews Pamela, Linda, Vicki, Job, Hannah, Kendra, Alicia, John, Tyler, Amy, Derek and Heather as well as nine great-nieces and great-nephews. Charlotte was born February 13, 1947, and as a child she attended Lang and Milestone schools. She spent a year in Bible school, and a year in the University of Saskatoon. Charlotte worked for Necchi Sewing Center, June One Fabrics and Rose Bowl Florists. She attended Kelsey Institute and graduated as a Library Technician. Charlotte worked in Library for Agriculture Canada, ran C&R Value from February 1983 to March 1992 and was the Mayor of Lang for one term. Charlotte worked at Palliser Regional Library Headquarters. She obtained her Village Administration course, ran the town office at Lang and worked part-time at Lang Elementary School. She made church bulletins for Lang United and Milestone Alliance Churches, and was most recently an Office Administrator at Lang Co-op during the big switch, now known as Cross Country Cooperative Ltd. Charlotte was a loyal friend and a wonderful sister. She was very organized all the time and knew how to get the job done and on time, however big the challenge. Charlotte loved animals and enjoyed taking care of them. Interment will take place in Lang Cemetery, Lang, SK on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Lang Community Hall.
