Obituary of Peter Derkacz

Pete, was born in the Campbelltown District, Jasmin, Sask on June 19, 1930, died peacefully at Cupar and District Nursing Home on Monday, February 28, 2011. He was 80 years of age. Pete made his home in the Kelliher District where he farmed and retired. He was predeceased by his wife Caroline on March 10, 1985. He was also predeceased by four brothers, John, Wallace, Nick, and Dick Derkacz; three sisters, Ellen Fleming, Anne Howe and Jean Derkacz and step-son-in-law Brent Horan. Pete is survived by his one sister Tillie and her husband Alan Chisholm in Roseville, California; his step-children, May (Robert) Anthony, Jim (Debbie) Hand, Connie Horan, Earl (Janice) Hand; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and close friends George and Mary Jane Benz.
