Obituary of Dwight Pinay

On Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Regina General Hospital, Dwight David Pinay passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 59. Dwight was predeceased by his parents Noel and Emma Pinay; in-laws Noel and Katherine McNabb; sibings Ronald and Shane Pinay and brothers-in-law John Bellegarde Johnny Bags,? Edison McNabb, and Murray McNabb. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Sharon and his children Therin, Cheyenne and Arianna; adopted children Brandon McNabb, Tony (Shannon) Stevenson, Holly McNabb, Ashley McNabb, Tamara McNabb, Skyla McNabb and Peter Bear Petey;? siblings Ida (Robert) Michaud, Alix (Guy) Delvaux, Lorraine Powel (Pinay), Donna Pinay, Debbie Pinay, Les Pinay, Bruce Pinay, Paul (Bonnie) Pinay, Sandra (Kurt) Schindler; adopted brother Michael Littlechief; favorite nieces and nephews Judy Pinay, Brenda Missens (Pinay), Peggy Bellegarde, Katie Delorme, Adam Pinay and Curtis Delorme; Special uncle Albert Daniels Buck, ? as well as numerous uncles, aunts, family and friends. Dwight will also be remembered by his brothers-in-law Ron Bellegarde, Morris (Connie) Bellegarde, Vern (Cynthia) McNabb, George (Carol) McNabb, Ken (Priscilla) McNabb, Dean McNabb, Darwin (Linda) McNabb and Stuart (Jackie) McNabb and sisters-in-law Karen (Duane) Delorme and Muriel (Harley) Dubois. Dwight was a very talented sculptor, carver and painter. His work is shown all over the world. His love for his family kept him going. Dwight had a knowledge for everything, but Treaty Rights was his passion. A Wake will be held at Peepeekisis Pesakastew School, TONIGHT, Friday, March 4, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at Peepeekisis Pesakastew School on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow and interment at Pinay Family Cemetery.
