Obituary of Margaret Louise Nervick

After a brief and sudden illness, Margaret passed away at the age of 87, on Saturday, March 12, 2011 with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband Terence in 1994, her parents Frederick and Emilie Reibetanz, and her brothers Walter and Fred. She was also predeceased by her sisters-in-law Meta Nervick and Ada Cook. Margaret is survived by her children, her daughters Eleanor (Bill) Wiley, Jonathan and Andrew of Calgary, and Emily (Tom) Ireton, Will of Regina, and her son Marty (Cathy) Nervick of Craven. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Edith Reibetanz of Edmonton as well as several nieces and nephews. Margaret was born Margaret Louise Reibetanz on March 6, 1924 in Saskatoon. She attended Mayfair Elementary School, Bedford Road Collegiate and Saskatoon Business College. Margaret worked for several years for the CN Railway in Saskatoon. In 1950 she married Terence Nervick and moved to the family farm at Atwater, Sask. During the next 43 years Margaret and Terence raised their family and were partners in the operation of the farm. After the death of her husband Terence in 1994, Margaret moved to Regina where she lived until her passing. Margaret was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and her faith meant so much to her all her life. Margaret was an avid gardener and loved nature in all its beauty. She loved to read and kept a keen interest in current affairs. Margaret was a most loyal friend to so many and lifted people up with her sparkle, smile and sense of humour. Margaret was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, attending bible study and the seniors group Freedom 55ers.? She also enjoyed her involvement with the Christian Womens breakfast group and conducted a bible study for residents at Parkside Nursing Home. She enjoyed her many friendships at church and her condo residence. Margaret was a beautiful person who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Margarets Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 2170 Albert Street, Regina on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A family burial will be held in the spring at Kristiania Lutheran Cemetery at Atwater, Sask. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Unit 5A at the Regina General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care, as well as Dr. Ijaz and Dr. A. Kumar.
