Obituary of Mary Eisler

Mary passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Parkside Extendicare in Regina. Predeceased by her husband Bob; son Terry; and nine brothers and sisters, Mary is survived by daughter Marilyn (David) Paller of Abbotsford, BC; son Dale (Louise) of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law Lee of Regina; grandchildren, Tim, Michael, Lisa, Paula and Rob; great-grandchildren, Jada, Lauren, Madeline, Finn, Nova, Lola, Owen and Genevieve. Mary lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, faith and friendship. She understood the importance of family, learned the lessons of character and dedication when tested by hardship and was an inspiration for all who knew her. Born August 13, 1915 in Odessa, Russia, as a young girl Mary and her family faced tremendous suffering during a period of revolution, civil war and famine. Like many of her generation, her family came to Canada and found a life of hope and opportunity in Saskatchewan. She fell in love with her husband Bob, and they raised three children. Mary was a woman of great tenderness, sensitivity and courage, embodying the values that make the world a better place. In memory of Mom, Dad and our brother Terry, please follow their lifes example of kindness to others. Special thanks to the staff at Parkside Extendicare for the care and love they gave to both Mary and Bob. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Msgr Ken Miller presiding.
