Obituary of Dale Anthony Glen Deschambault

It is with great sadness that the family announces their fathers passing, Dale Anthony Glen Deschambault at the age of 65 years. Dale passed away peacefully and began his journey late Monday night, April 25, 2011. Dale was predeceased by his parents, Adhemar and Flodene (Hatch) Deschambault; sisters, Rosalie Hines, Geraldine (Pinky) Dinnen, Marjorie Deschambault, Pat Cyr and Diane Hamilton; and brother Gerald (Tommy) Deschambault. Dale is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Lou Deschambault and Dale Michelle Deschambault-Godfrey (Larry) and his grandsons, Dale James (DJ), Joshua, Adam, Skylar, Daniel, and Ethan. Dale is also survived by the mother of his daughters, Lorna (Keewatin) Standingready and his stepchildren, Donna Standingready-Luxton (Mike), Denise Standingready-Stonechild, Leroy Standingready and Tina Standingready and numerous step-grandchildren; his brothers, Darrel, Ronald and Richard (Rose); and his sisters, Joyce Braumberger, Audrey Melnyk, Iris Cyr, Donna (Bill) McGinnis, Sharon Dirk; and special niece Kelly Ashton. Dale loved sports and his favourite teams were the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Eskimos. His memory was exceptional as he knew every hockey and football player by name and the many scores each player made. Dale coached The River Rats? of Fort QuAppelle and tenaciously kept them to their goal of playing a good game and winning. He often took his girls to The Regina Pats? hockey games and they in turn followed in their dads foot-steps in the love of sports. Dales other passion was his love of country and western music and one would always find him listening to his favourite tunes. Dale was a construction worker and a cook by trade until he became ill and made his home at Pioneer Village. A private viewing will be held for the family and a Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. The family are thankful for the kindness and care that the nurses and caregivers of Pioneer Village bestowed on their dad and grandfather. We love you and will always miss you dad and grandpa. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
