Obituary of George Kennedy

On Sunday July 3, 2011, George Edward Kennedy passed away at his home in Regina at the age of 67. George was born in West Kirby, England to Jessie Helm and Albert Kennedy. He moved to Winnipeg where he met his wife of 27 years, Alison Millman. George is survived by Alison and two loving daughters, Susan and Christine. George was a Certified Management Accountant and most recently worked for Saskatchewan Health. He will be dearly missed by his colleagues there. George will be remembered for his dry British wit, his curiosity and sense of wonder, his generosity, and his compassion for those around him. He enjoyed a simple life and was most happy at the cottage in Victoria Beach, MB, watching British comedies and collecting art for his apartment. A gathering to remember George will be held at the Mackenzie Art Gallery, 3475 Albert Street, Regina (T.C. Douglas Building) on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 2702 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1J2.
