Obituary of Rickey Pisula

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our husband, dad and grandpa. Predeceased by sister Gaylene, parents Eddie and Bertha, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Wayne and Vera Mattila, Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Irene, sons Robert and Rodney (Dawn) and 2 grandchildren, Bowen and Kennedy, sisters-in-law Shirley Mattila and Beverly (Gerry) Liski and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Rick worked at the Leader Post for 41 years and enjoyed his retirement by spending time at the beach, travelling, and playing hockey. The lights of his life were his precious grandchildren. He was never too far from the hockey rink, the ball diamond or whatever sporting event Bowen or Kennedy were participating in. Pistol lived his entire life in Regina, was a die-hard "Habs" fan and a passionate Alouettes fan. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 12 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation to the charity of their choice. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
