Obituary of Douglas Melville Brunskill

DOUG BRUNSKILL

Dad got his final wish on Monday, August 29, 2011 , leaving this world for whatever lies beyond. A life well lived and loved, he was good to go. Doug was born on the family farm south of Pense on July 10, 1921. He served as an air frame mechanic in the Canadian Air Force in England during WWII. Doug was a farmer, and loved the land. Predeceased by his wife Tressa; Doug is survived by daughter Kim, son-in-law Ron Blechinger and grandchildren Joel and Kate; sister June (Harv) White; in-laws Ron Thatcher, Roy Morris, Bernice Bayne, Mavis and Jim Fairburn, and Ethel Hughes; special cousin Ruth Brown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. At Dougs request, a private graveside service will be held. Thanks to the nurses, special care aides and Dr. Newton at Unit 3-6 in Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for their quality care.
