Obituary of Gary John Briggs

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the passing of Gary Briggs. He is survived by his wife Joyce (Morrow); his daughters, Linda (Bob), Cheryl (Barry), Kim; his stepchildren, Quinn and Shelly; his brother, Denis (Shirley); along with 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Chauncey and Gladys Briggs, and his son Mike. Gary had many great experiences in the navy, and the air force; he was also a chartered bus driver and retired as a commissionaire from Regina Provost. A very special thanks to the staff at Pasqua Palliative Care and the staff at Grace Hospice for all their support and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina SK on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:30 pm. A Graveside Service will take place at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa. An announcement will be placed in the Ottawa Citizen when date and time is known. Flowers gratefully declined.
