Obituary of Zenta (Kreszenz) Pater

Zenta was born in Lam, Germany. She married Alfred Pater in 1943 and moved to Graz, Austria. The family immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Regina where she had lived since. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1990. Zenta is survived by her daughters, Isabella Pater and Hanna Ritenburg (Terry Shewchuk); grandchildren, Christine (Jason), Andrew (Lindsay), Katherine (Patrick) and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Cedric, Daniel, Maggie, Isabel and Thomas. Zenta enjoyed cooking and handicrafts as well as going to their cottage at Island View until her health declined. She spent her last 11 years in care homes. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
