Obituary of Timothy Walsh

Tim was born in Jasmin, Saskatchewan on May 16, 1932 and passed away September 14, 2011 at the Wascana Grace Hospice after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Vivian; three children Tim (Roberta) of Regina, and their children Timothy (Karie-Anne) and Kurtis; Doug (Kim) of Brentwood Bay, B.C., and their children Jackie and Jordan; Wendy (Malcolm) Barbour of Estevan and their children Samantha, Casey and Callie; sister Isobel Wahl of Tawassan, B.C.; sisters-in-law Eileen Walsh, Donna Walsh, Mert Speers, Pauline (Lorne) Dagert, June (Alex) Munroe, Katherine (Paul) Tomyn, Jocelyn Erasmus, Marnie Leach, Joan Leach; brothers-in-law Earl (Marlene) Leach, Danny (Maria) Leach, John Murney; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Alice Walsh; sisters Kay (Bob) Nichol, Bea (George) Reeve, Irene (Doug) Tyre, Bernice (Angus) Cameron, Grace (Ken) Theaker; brothers Patrick, Leo, and Bob; brothers-in-law Mervin Leach, Frank Speers, Gordon Leach; sisters-in-law Nora Leach and Orma Murney. Tim spent his working years with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and established many friendships throughout the province. He started with the construction division, and then became an elevator agent located in Semans, Booth Siding and Raymore; promoted to an area superintendent working in Watrous, Canora and Saskatoon; and finally a regional manager working out of the Head Office in Regina. He retired in 1988 and enjoyed spending the winters in Mesa Arizona and then later in B.C. He spent many hours in his wood working shop, when he wasnt fishing and hunting with his friends. Family was very important to him and he was especially proud of his grandchildren. He loved to entertain friends and family, play practical jokes and enjoyed a special relationship with his neighbours. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Parish, 4720 Castle Road, Regina with Rev. Gary Lindenbach presiding. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations in memoriam to the Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, S4R 8P6.
