Obituary of Evalyn Sigrun Ruddell

Evalyn, late of Regina, peacefully slipped away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born in Saskatoon, and completed high school in Macoun, SK. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from The Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC. Evalyn continued her nursing education in Winnipeg, MB, specializing in Public Health. She worked as a Public Health nurse in southern Saskatchewan. Evalyns passions were her family and music. She achieved her Grade 8 in the Royal Conservatory of Music, and taught piano and organ lessons until retirement. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Ruddell; parents Conrad and Marja Thordarson; and grandson Bruce Manley; Evalyn is survived by her brother Conrad Marlyn (Dorothy) Thordarson of Regina; daughters Myrna (Gary) Manley of Saskatoon, Sandra (Garth) Graham-Rowe of Regina, Constance (Kim) Rissling of Regina, son Joseph (Barb) Ruddell of Sherwood Park, AB; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at the Regina Lutheran Home on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m with Pastor Dennis Fingas officiating.
