Obituary of Bernard Jeannotte

January 15, 1934 October 7, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard Jeannotte our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bernie died peacefully at home. Bernies memory will be forever cherished by his loving family devoted and loving wife Isabelle six children Reg Jeannotte (Marj), Don Jeannotte, Debby Hischebett (Bob), Wendy Smythe (George), Donna Jeannotte (Gerald) and Cindy Jeannotte - numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernie was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Regina, his first wife Betty, and his sister Marie. Bernie was born in Regina and raised in Laurier, Manitoba. In 1953 he moved back to Regina. He was a member of the Regina City Police Service and retired in 1983. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Legion. After Bernies retirement, Bernie and Isabelle spent winters in Yuma, where they had many friends and good times. Bernie also loved to garden and play his guitar. There were many family gatherings where Bernie played the guitar and sang. Bernie loved to dress up as Santa Clause for his grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart R. C. Church in Lebret, SK. Flowers gratefully declined, friends wishing to do so may make donations in Bernies name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Lombard, the Fort QuAppelle RCMP and EMS. A private family interment at Regina Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
