Obituary of Irene Fix

June 13, 1930 Oct. 8, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Irene on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. She was predeceased by Pius, her husband of 59 years, in April of this year. Irene is survived by her son, Roland Fix; daughter Rosemarie Macdonald; granddaughter Laura Macdonald (Michael) and great-granddaughters Lilianna and Alexandrina; sister Irmgard Schnurr; niece Elisabeth (Ladd) Fogarty and family; nephew Karl (Sandy) Fix and family; nephew W. Michael (Lynn) Fix and family; nephew Eduard (Nancy) Zacher; and cousins Melitta Geier and Hilde Haaf in Germany. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Nguyen presiding. We wish to express our gratitude to all our family and friends for their unwavering support during these past months. We also wish to acknowledge the excellent care our mother received from the doctors and nurses while in palliative care at both Pasqua Hospital and at Grace Hospice.
