Obituary of Andrew Glavacevic

Andrew, late of Regina, passed away suddenly at the Regina General Hospital on Saturday, July 16, 2011 with his wife and family by his side. Andrew was born in Croatia in December of 1952. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Palavra in September of 2009, and his father Mato Palavra in 1969. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Gelsinger; his two sons, Michael Glavacevic (Sheri) and Tyler Glavacevic; his stepchildren, Ricki Knipple (Troy), Ryan Frei (Poppy) and Derek Frei (Krissy); grandchildren, Levi, Lexys, Zayah, Aveena, Jacy and unborn grandchild baby Glavacevic; as well as numerous relatives in Croatia. Andrew had many close friends who will miss him very much. He was loved by all who knew him, and will be missed. Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Barry Anwender presiding. The University of Regina was very fortunate to have Andy as a dedicated employee for 38 years. As a tribute to Andys great affection and enthusiasm for the University, the Andy Glavacevic Memorial Scholarship has been established at the University of Regina.
