Obituary of Al Frederickson

May 31, 1928 August 19, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Al Frederickson of North Shore, Fishing Lake. Al passed away at the age of 83 at the Regina General Hospital with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Alice (McLeod) Frederickson and brother, Kenneth. His memory will live on forever through his wife of 59 years Beatrice (Haskey), daughters Rhonda Nelson (George) and Carla (Ed) Desnoyers, grandchildren Robin Williams (John and Elizabeth), Jason (Summer) Frederickson, Quinn Nelson, Brittney Desnoyers (Rod) and Madison Desnoyers, and sister in law Dorothy Frederickson. Al worked for Saskatchewan Highways for 35 years. After retirement Al and Bea enjoyed their time at Fishing Lake in the summer and were snowbirds for 21 years in Weslaco, Texas. He was an avid golfer, guitar player, fisherman and ham operator (VE5RU). Al will be remembered for his wit, charm and wonderful personality. His caring, compassion and most of all his guidance will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Als Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Als name to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143, Stn Main, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7.
