Obituary of Lorne Gill Ransome

LORNE GILL RANSOME October 6, 1927- August 28, 2011 Lorne passed away on Saturday August 28, 2011 in his 84th year in Regina Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his wife Erna, parents Wilbert and Mabel (Gill), brothers Aubrey, Melvile, Allen and Mervin (twin). Lorne is survived by his loving wife Louise; son William and his wife Catherine of Goderich, Ontario along with their son Andrew of Hamilton, daughter Kathleen & husband George and their children Mae & Gary of Dundas, Ontario and Lorne & Devin of Mableton, Georgia. Loving Papa of Ethan, Hailey & Lucas. Also sister Doreen & husband Bernie Lockhart of Hamilton and brother-in-law Jim & Dorothy Dake of Sebright, Ontario. Lorne was lucky to have a very loving extended family in western Canada. Louise's children Deb & Bob, Darlene & Ray, David & Naomi and their 9 children and 13 1/2 grandchildren whom he also cherished. Lorne is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Lorne was fortunate after the death of his mother Mabel to be raised by Rose Clark and her children whom he loved as his brothers and sisters. As per Lorne's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lornes Life will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 2 - 4:00 p.m. at the Lumsden District Dew Drop In, 275 James Street N., Lumsden SK. Interment at Bayview Cemetery & Crematory in Burlington Ontario at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined.
