Obituary of Gordon Douglas Laing, Jr.

GORDON DOUGLAS LAING JR. January 6, 1952 - August 30, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gord Laing on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the age of 59. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Laing and sister Wendy Gilmour. He is survived by his father Gordon Laing Sr.; children Gord and Denise; nieces Terri and Sherri Gilmour; nephew Robert Gilmour as well as many great nieces and nephews. Gord grew up in Winnipeg and travelled many places, finally residing in his home of Regina, SK, where he made some great friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Good News Chapel, 1380 Elphinstone Street, Regina on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A special Thank You to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission for their compassion and support with Gord and to Jack Katzberg for being a great friend and support to Gord, and for being an amazing help arranging the memorial service.
