Obituary of Ethan John Wendel

ETHAN JOHN WENDEL 1999 2011 Ethan passed away peacefully with his parents by his side on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Ethan is survived by his parents Jeff and Erin; two brothers Dylan (14), Nolan (6); grandparents Fred and Dianne Wendel, Keith and Ann Mackrill, Jennifer Greenwood and Bob Moore; aunts, uncles and cousins Janie (Dale) Markewich and their children Daniel, Katherine, Juliane, Thomas; Jeana Wendel (Jeff Craigen) and their children Kaitlyn and Caroline; and godparents Jim and Denise Swallow. Ethan was a very wonderful special boy who loved his family and friends so much. His favourite times were times spent with his family at home or at the cottage. He loved to play ditch, swim and tube with his cousins. He had so much energy that will leave a huge hole in our hearts. He was so helpful to all who needed it. Ethan loved playing hockey and soccer. He loved drawing, music, fishing and especially reading. He also enjoyed playing four square at recess with all his friends. Every night he would tell Nolan The Story and everyday he would hang out with Dylan watching The Office. He was best friends with Dylan and Nolan and he was the best son any parent could ask for. We are so proud of him and love him so much. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Sid Haugen and Pastor Jeff Tank officiating. A private family interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park. Special thanks to Dr. A. Essalah, the ambulance attendants, physicians and Dr. J. Buwembo as well as nursing staff and other hospital staff who were so helpful and kind. Thanks to the people who helped him at the University, as well, parents and RCBA staff/volunteers. Flowers most gratefully declined. An Education Fund in Memory of Ethan has been set up for his brothers Dylan and Nolan. Those so wishing, may make donations at any Royal Bank location in Regina.
