Obituary of Irene Booth

IRENE BOOTH (RELKE) On Monday, October 10, 2011, Irene passed away with her family by her side at the age of 85. She was born on June 23, 1926 in Moose Jaw and spent her childhood there and in Regina. She married Bill Booth in 1958 and spent her short married life in Moose Jaw until Bills passing in 1960. At that time, she moved with her two young daughters to Regina. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Catherine Booth (New Zealand) and Nancy Fieldgate (Regina); her special sons-in-law Mark Godfrey (NZ) and Brian Fieldgate; and her grandchildren who were her pride and joy - Joseph Fieldgate, Madeleine Godfrey and Casey Godfrey. She will also be remembered by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents David and Elizabeth Relke, husband Bill, brothers Norman, Howard and Raymond Relke, and very special granddaughter Isabel Irene Godfrey. A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 142 Massey Road in Regina, on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date in Moose Jaw at Rosedale Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
