Obituary of Edward Dormuth

EDWARD DORMUTH Edward, born June 9, 1931 in Regina, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday May 7, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen; his parents Peter and Katherine; and brothers Mike, Max, and John. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his son Miles; daughter Jill (Dean) Holroyd; and grandchildren Jelaina and Nicholas. He is also survived by his sisters Anne Jelinski and Doreen Thiessen. Ed and Doreen were happily married for 54 years, during which time they were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Ed was a hardworking family man, working in the family business, Dormuth Brothers Trucking, until his retirement in 1997. Ed spent many weekends with his family at the cottage, where he would watch the sun rise with Doreen, enjoy the company of his grandchildren as he worked in the yard, and bring in nightfall with his family around the fire pit. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team for their compassion and kindness at this difficult time, allowing Ed to pass away peacefully in his home. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Sr. Melvina Hruska celebrant. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
