As so many are, I thank the Lord that I was blessed to have Auntie Connie in my life. She is a worthy example to follow as she followed Christ. Never did I see her angry with another, even though she surely had cause. She would weep when we wept and rejoiced when we rejoiced. She loved on others, even in the midst of her own heartache. For those that knew her, they knew that she knew Christ crucified as an act of love towards her. And in that, she loved all.
I always knew that 10 Miller Cresent was a place of sanctuary. If I flew in to Canada at midnight, there was a bed at Auntie Connie's place. And she would stay up and greet you with a hug and a smile.
It saddens me greatly that I cannot be present with you all on the 11th to grieve, and celebrate the life of this amazing woman.
But I also know this, that if she were here with you on this day, she would tell you to grieve not, but to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and we shall be together again.
May we all grow in her example to be the light to others, as she was, of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I miss you all.
