It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dianna (Dianne) Lang (nee Hassman) on August 21, 2020 at the age of 72.

Dianne was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter Linda and her parents, John and Emilie.  Dianne is survived by her loving family, daughter Annette (Rob), son Murray (Jocelyne) and her beloved grandchildren, Renee (Jonah), Tyler (Brooke), Avery and Easton.  Also left to cherish her memory are sisters Carol Ulrich, Joyce (Norman) Ermel, Marilyn (Fred) Phillips; brother in law Seig Lang, and sisters in law Winnie Gayton, Rose Fries, and Paulette (John) Gurak; along with many beloved nieces, nephews and special coffee row friends.

Dianne was born on December 2, 1947 in Cupar, SK, the third of four girls.  She grew up on the farm south of Markinch, SK, moved to Regina and worked at Fellinger Meats.  She met Henry on a blind date and they married July 4, 1970.  They had 3 children: Linda (stillborn), Annette and Murray.  Together they farmed Northwest of Raymore until Henry’s sudden passing in November 1990.  With the support of family, friends and neighbors, Dianne and Murray continued to farm.  She went back to school in 1993 and received a certificate in Dietary Aide. Dianne then started working at the Silver Heights Special Care Home.  Murray and Dianne sold the farm in 2008 and she retired from Silver Heights in 2013. Dianne had moved to Raymore in 1993 and continued to live there very happily until her passing.

There was nothing Dianne enjoyed more than family, friends and a good cup of coffee.  In retirement, she was a coffee row regular, solving the problems of the world one cup at a time.  She loved to cook and bake for everyone. In her younger days, she loved to play ball and later watch Tyler play. She also loved curling, playing at the Copeland Curling Club and then later enjoying it as a fan. She loved a good game of cards, most recently playing crib online with friends from all over the world.

Dianna’s grandchildren meant the world to her.  She was their biggest fan and loudest cheerleader.  She put many miles on her vehicle, driving all over the province and even to the USA to watch dance, hockey, football, baseball, theatre, and recitals.  She had a special and unique relationship with each one of them.  Her brood grew when boyfriends and girlfriends entered the picture and they, too, were on the receiving end of Grandma D’s love.
Dianne was wonderful lady with the biggest heart and she will be greatly missed by all.
