Obituary of Cecil Harry Burton

IN LOVING MEMORY CECIL HARRY BURTON February 18, 1931 September 23, 2010 The family of Cecil is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marlene Burton, and their son Ken Burton (Sandra, Chris and Justin of Yorkton); granddaughter Amanda and great-granddaughter Mara; step-grandson Kyle of Port Coquitlam, BC; his sister Blanche Stuart of Esterhazy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cecil was predeceased by his son Gordon Patrick and parents Harry and Florence Burton. Cecil worked for most of his career with SaskPower. He enjoyed many pleasurable hours cooking, fishing, watching sports, spending time with his grandchildren and was a true nature lover. There will be a private family Graveside Service held at Abernethy Cemetery on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with Gladys Pavo-Penny officiating, with a Public Reception at the Abernethy Community Hall at 2:00 pm. Thank you to the staff on 3B at the Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they provided for Cecil. Donations in Cecils memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
