LACKEY, Gladys Christine

Gladys, age 89 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2020, with family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Keith Lackey; daughter Karen Lackey; grandson, Ryan Greer; parents, Tom and Freda Trulson; seven siblings; Floyd, Melvin, Norman, Arthur, Ernest, Myrtle Nixon, Irene Christopherson. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Val Scherle (nee Lackey); granddaughter, Jocelyn (Jeff) Wiebe; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Gladys grew up on a farm outside of Weyburn and married Keith in 1952. She was a caring homemaker and always passionate about her family. Gladys enjoyed a good game of cards, drinks with family and friends, gardening, taking care of her home and yard. She showed great strength and love throughout her life and will be deeply missed. To honour her wishes, there will be a small private family service. Her family would like to thank all her caregivers at Lumsden Heritage Home.
