Sherry Ann Culham passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 8:08 a.m. after her battle with cancer. Sherry was the beloved wife of Tristan Culham, the mother of Keenan (10) and Cassidy (8), as well as the daughter of Kelly Gallant and the late Marian Stephenson.
Sherry was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 23, 1976.
Sherry was an incredible person who loved life, travel, good wine, great food, and spending time with her family and friends. Throughout her life Sherry travelled to many different countries and always had a thirst to go further. Her interest in travel was driven by her love of culture and desire to understand and meet new people. It was during her travelling adventures in China where she met her future husband, Tristan Culham.
Sherry and Tristan spent three years together in China and Taiwan, eventually returning to attend university in Saskatoon. Sherry obtained her BScN in 2008 and moved to Regina with Tristan. Sherry and Tristan married on August 8, 2008 and quickly grew roots in the city.
Sherry and Tristan lovingly welcomed their first son, Keenan, on January 17, 2010 and their second son, Cassidy, on June 23, 2012. Sherry loved her husband and children and enjoyed sharing her love and philosophy of life with them. She would do anything for them and her heart was broken knowing that she could not spend more time with them.
Sherry was more than a mother and wife. She was driven by her desire to learn and better herself spiritually and physically. Swimming, triathlons, sewing, reading, photography and painting are just a short list of the activities that Sherry pursued in her free time. She was an active community member in Regina, having sat on various boards and governing bodies, including the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association, as well as participating in swimming and book clubs.
As a registered nurse, Sherry enjoyed helping people with patience, compassion and understanding. While working as a nurse Sherry impacted a countless number of people in the city and developed many friendships in the medical field.
Sherry was predeceased by her mother, Marian Stephenson. She is survived by her husband Tristan; her two children, Cassidy and Keenan; her father Kelly; her siblings Amber Gallant-Davies and Tyrone Gallant; her grandpa and grandma, Ronald and Pat Gallant; her mother-in-law Michelle Culham; numerous nieces and nephews, Keegan, Ryker, Sarah, Lisa and Henry, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins and close friends.
A private memorial service to celebrate her life and give gratitude will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
