Obituary of Marion Martha Doering
DOERING, Marion Martha
(nee Quigley/Bohn)
October 1, 1923 – September 25, 2020
Marion was born on a farm at Lewvan, SK and passed away just 6 days before her 97th birthday. She joins her husband Henry (Hank); parents Tillie and Timothy Quigley; and sister May (Bob) English. Marion is survived by her daughters Debbie Sentes and Donna (John) Lozinski; grandsons Jason (Denise) and Brad (Jeanine) Lozinski; great-grandsons Evan and Derek Lozinski. She attended Normal School and taught in a one room school house at Handsworth for several years, and gauged guns during WWII at the old GM plant in Regina. Marion also held part time positions during the Christmas rush as well as SGI. Mostly, she preferred to tend to household needs. Marion had an amazing aptitude for detail and accuracy, who delighted watching nature at work no matter how small. She enjoyed dancing, singing, animals, eating out and going for country drives, especially during autumn. Her determination, stoicism and curiosity helped her to be active into her nineties. Marion cared greatly for and appreciated her family, and would do anything to assist them in any way she could. She will be forever missed. A private graveside service will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens.
