FORGAY, Margaret Gertrude
October 11, 1965 – October 10, 2020
Margaret passed away peacefully in Regina, SK, at the age of 54 years. Born in Estevan, SK, Margaret grew up in Regina. She attended Harrow DeGroot School, worked at YWCA Regina; first as a volunteer then as an employee for 20 years as a janitor. What Margaret valued most in life were the connections she made with others. Always eager to be part of the action, Margaret made fast friends through church, sports (she participated in the Special Olympics at all levels in swimming, snowshoeing, and bowling), her unyielding devotion to the Roughriders, the artwork she made as gifts, and riding the city bus. Margaret was predeceased by her sister Faith Forgay in 1973 and her father, William Arthur (Art) Forgay in 1997. She is survived by her mother Beryl Forgay, her sisters Ann Knutson (Carmen Knutson) and Jane Forgay (David DeVidi), her nieces Bonnie Molson, Tara Molson, and Monica DeVidi, her special cousin Sonjia Johansen (Kerry Stack), and many favourite relatives and friends, including those in her Network. The family is very grateful for the care and compassion staff of the Regina Lutheran Home showed to Margaret during her time there. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a small private family service will be held at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, in Regina followed by a private interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Extended family and friends may view the service via livestream on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1:30pm. To view the livestream of the service please click on the link to Speers TV at the top of Margaret’s Tribute Page.
