Darcy Nolan Leib, late of Craven, SK passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the age of 57 years following a long battle with kidney failure. Predeceased by his parents John and Jean Leib; best friend Mark Wiers; and his favorite dog Rusty. Darcy is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melanie; son Trevor; daughter Melissa; father and mother-in-law Vern and Delores Maier; faithful dogs Pepsi and Butters; and numerous family members, nieces, nephews, and friends. Darcy lived on the family farm for most of his life where he ran a very successful business selling new and used equipment and being the local welder for many people in the area. He had many great friends and always went out of his way to help each and every one of them. He endured a long battle with kidney disease for over 34 years. In accordance with Darcy’s wishes there will be no Memorial Service. Interment will be held at a later date at Longlaketon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in memoriam of Darcy to Longlaketon Cemetery Fund, C/O Lloyd Small, RR2, Craven, SK, S0G 0W0 or the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 2308 Arlington Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L3 or the Kidney Foundation 2217 Hanselman Ct #1, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 6A8. The family would like to thank the nurses at Regina General Hospital unit 5F for being so kind and compassionate in Darcy’s remaining days and for allowing family and friends to spend time together.
