JACOBSEN, Eileen June

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our mother and grandmother, Eileen June Jacobsen, late of Regina, SK (formerly of Bethune, SK). June passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Sunset Extendicare Home. She was born and raised in Bethune, SK, the only daughter of Arthur and Edna Beale. June married the love of her life John Fritz Jacobsen on July 15, 1950. She and John were blessed with two daughters, Shirley and Donna. June spent the majority of her life in the Bethune community, except for the short stint when her and John farmed in the Stoney Beach area. After John’s passing in 1985, she learned to survive on her own with the help of close friends and the community. She was very active in curling, bowling, and playing bridge; her favourite pastimes though, were bingo and cards. June was predeceased by her husband John; daughter Shirley; parents Arthur and Edna Beale; brothers George, Stanley, William and Alvin; as well as granddaughters Roseanne Toth and Dixie Quigley. She is survived by her daughter Donna Quigley; Michael Huck; grandchildren John (Treena) Toth, Joanne Toth, Steven (Rhonda) Toth, Robert (Jenna) Toth, Mickey (Kathy) Quigley, Jackie Quigley, Bobby (Lindsey) Quigley, Brandi (Matthew) Seitz; great-grandchildren Jennelle (Mark), Zane, Jaymes, Braden, Kylie, Lexie, Olivia, Aiden, Tanzie, Hayley, Conrad, Noah, and Sadie; and great great-grandchild Bridgette. A small Funeral Service for family and friends will be held at Bethune Community Hall on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
