MERCER, Karen Elaine

It is with great sadness the family of Karen Elaine Mercer announce her passing. Karen passed suddenly in hospital on Friday, October 23, 2020 in Regina, SK, at the age of 73 years. Our beloved mother will be deeply missed. Karen was predeceased by her late husband Joseph Mercer; her parents James and Margaret Urban of Esterhazy, SK; and her brother Larry Urban of Saskatoon, SK. She leaves behind her daughter Sherry (Glenn Monteyne) Mercer; son Shane (Katrina Olshanoski) Mercer; grandchildren Shawn, Rylan, Jaden, Brianna, and great-granddaughter Lilly, all of Regina, SK; and her sister Marcie of Saskatoon, SK. Karen grew up in Esterhazy, SK where she soon met and eventually married her late husband Joseph Mercer. She worked her whole life for the Royal Bank where she eventually retired. Karen had a beautiful ear for music and was a talented singer. She also loved cooking and reading. Those wishing to pay their respects, may do so at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Flowers most gratefully declined.
