A cousin, Roy grew up on a farm just six miles from ours. Many family get togethers in those years for birthday celebrations and holidays and much more. There are memories of Roy from childhood on. I shared a basement suite with Roy in Saskatoon for one University year. He had his gift for words and an outgoing personality. I came home after class more than a few times to find Roy and anmber of friends already started on weekend planning.... He was always cheerful and Optimetrist. I always enjoyed a visit over the years.....John Anderson

Terri, Jill, Allison, Meghan, Hillary and Chad, we were so sorry about your Dad. He was so proud of you. Roy had a special relationship with each one of you. We were always so pleased to be included in the letters he has been writing to us all during Covid.
Roy took such loving care of Gloria during her long battle with cancer.
Our favourite saying that Roy had, he had many, was "pick your hill to die on".
We will miss our visits and Roy's philosophizing.

Roy was meant to be a performer...farming was simply a way of life.. always maintained that no one really owned land...that it was just sometimes ours to use for a little while..such a thoughtful, caring soul was Roy. Such an honour to be in theatre with him, always gently encouraging, brilliant strategist with the photographic memory like non other...he was made for theatre and parenting....he loved his family so deeply. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends...may he now be with Shakespeare writing new stories based on a strong reflective philosophy.
