CLARK, Grant
Grant Ronald Clark, of Regina, SK, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the age of 66 years. Grant was predeceased by his father, Ronald Clark; his father-in-law, Phil Stephanson; and brother-in-law Darrell Stephanson. He is survived by his mother, Doris Clark of Rosetown; his loving partner, Sherri Stephanson of Regina; her sons, Michael Burgess and his children, Kaden, Parker and Mikayla, Steffan (Ali) Burgess, and Kristjan Burgess (Cristina Prade-Ramos); his brothers, Rod Clark (Joy Ogden) and Brent (Rita) Clark; his mother-in-law, Marjorie Stephanson; sisters-in-law Ardith Stephanson (Ron Meyers) and Lori Stephanson; as well as nieces and nephews.
Grant was born in Kindersley on November 11, 1953. He spent his early years in the Flaxcombe and Milden areas until the family moved to their farm south of Rosetown, where Grant spent the majority of his early life attending school, playing hockey and helping on the farm. His greatest pleasure while growing up was riding motorbikes with his brothers over the open treeless plains south of the farm.
Grant attended the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained his BA and BEd, and later attended the San Diego State University where he received a Master of Arts in Education. He taught and was vice principal initially in Rosetown, then was a principal in Kindersley and Saskatoon, where he retired in 2005. It was while working in Saskatoon that Grant met Sherri and her family. Together they had 21 years of good memories living initially in Saskatoon, then Regina, with summers spent at Silver Lake, Ontario and winters in Arizona. Grant especially enjoyed his winters in Arizona riding his motorcycle with his brothers and friends. He was a patient, kind and quiet man, who was thoughtful and caring. He was true to himself and lived with integrity. Grant was a strong mentor and role model for his stepsons, and a supportive husband for Sherri. The loving life and partnership they shared will be remembered by all who knew Grant.
At Grant’s request, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Grant Clark to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7 or reginahumanesociety.ca.
