Obituary of Doris Elizabeth Bien

On Wednesday, October 13, 2010 Doris Bien passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Roy; two daughters Barbara and Susan; two brothers Robert and Charlie; and two sisters Margaret and Phyllis, Doris is survived by one son Richard (Debbie) of Red Deer; two daughters Patti (Grant) Engel of Winnipeg and Debbie (Doug) Eklund of Regina; nine grandchildren: Peggy-Sue, Lori-Ann, Shawn, Andrea, Christopher, Leissa, Tracey, Jodi and Jeffrey; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and sister Mary of England. Doris came overseas from England as a war-bride in 1946. She settled with husband Roy in Shamrock, SK and moved to Regina in 1967 where she lived until her passing. She enjoyed card games with family and old friends, loved to knit and was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. The family wishes to thank the staff of Unit 3D at the Pasqua Hospital for their care of Doris. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
