Obituary of Marjorie May Mountenay

MOUNTENAY, Marjorie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie May (nee Read) Mountenay on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Pasqua Hospital. Born May 19, 1927 to William and Margaret Read, Marjorie is survived by her children Ronald Mountenay (Marilyn), Bonnie Mountenay (Pat), Dick Mountenay (Darlene), Temple Hills (Lloyd), Marilyn Tait (Alan) and Les Mountenay (Heather). Marjorie had twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.  She was also the proud aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, and had many new and lifelong friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Ross; parents William and Margaret Read; sister Jean Shanks; grandson Leonard; granddaughter Tammy; and grandson-in-law Bernie. Marjorie loved the farm, playing cards with family and friends, square dancing, bingo and hockey games in Bethune and area. We would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at Qu’Appelle House, William Booth Care Home and the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
